About the event

Aeriall Lausanne: A Stage for Everyone! It’s neither a competition nor a show. It’s an open stage. Have you prepared a routine for the IPSF, POSA, PSO, or any other competition? No matter where you’re from—the stage is yours. No license required, no prerequisites, and no set theme. You perform your routine exactly as you’ve created it. No judges. No rankings. Just the joy of performing on a beautiful stage! What remains is everything that makes great events great. A magnificent stage in the heart of Lausanne, the Olympic capital; technical conditions worthy of the biggest international competitions; professional stage lighting; and an audience there just for you. All athletes are welcome: Swiss and international, from all aerial and pole disciplines, ranging from amateur to elite levels.

FAQ

Who is this event for?
Whether you’re a beginner experiencing your first time on stage or a seasoned athlete, there’s a place for everyone on the Aeriall Lausanne stage. The event is specifically designed to give you the opportunity to perform and showcase your routine, whether your focus is on sports or the arts. Aside from the limitations imposed by the stage and the apparatus, you have almost complete freedom in the performance you present. For example: you have great freedom in costume choices—provided they meet the standards of decency expected on a publicly broadcast stage—and there are no restrictions on the type of bars, the height of the hoops, or other apparatus.
What is the purpose of Aeriall Lausanne?
To provide a high-quality stage for any athlete who simply wants to take the stage to present their routine, challenge themselves at a key moment, or test a routine intended for a future show or upcoming competition. And above all: there’s no need for any particular reason. Taking the stage simply for the pleasure of performing and having a good time is reason enough.
Do I need an athlete’s license or to be affiliated with a federation?
No license or affiliation is required. Aeriall Lausanne is open to everyone, regardless of your home federation—or even if you don’t belong to one.
How long does a performance last?
The duration per performance is specified in the rules of participation. It is designed to correspond to standard competition formats, so that you can present a performance you’ve already prepared without having to modify it.
Can I choose my own music freely?
Yes, with a great deal of freedom. The technical requirements (format, file submission, deadlines) and any rules related to music rights are specified in the rules.
Can I perform multiple routines, or perform as a duo or group?
Yes, there is no limit on the number of participants; however, for safety reasons, there are restrictions on the number of people allowed on the apparatus at the same time.
Is there a minimum skill level required?
The competition is open to all skill levels, from amateur to elite. For your safety and to ensure the smooth running of the event, you are expected to demonstrate sufficient proficiency on your apparatus; the specific requirements are outlined in the rules of participation.
Am I insured during the event?
Each participant is responsible for their own insurance coverage. The terms and conditions are specified in the rules of participation.
What happens to the video of my performance?
Each performance is recorded using multiple cameras and streamed live on Aeriall.org. After the event, you can watch a professional video of your performance for free on the platform. You can also purchase the original file of your performance for unrestricted use. By registering, you agree to this recording and its broadcast under the terms specified in the rules.
Where is the event taking place, and can the public attend?
Aeriall Lausanne is held in Lausanne at the École de Cirque de Lausanne-Renens, located at Rue de Lausanne 62, Renens. Your family and friends can accompany you to the venue or watch your performance remotely via the livestream.
Can I come and practice before my performance?
Time has been set aside for warm-ups and getting familiar with the apparatus. The detailed schedule is provided in the rules and regulations and before the event.
